Position Overview

We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician with a "master-of-all-trades" skillset to preserve the pristine condition of our premier wedding venues in North Austin. This role is focused on the aesthetic and structural perfection of our properties, ensuring every interior finish and exterior feature is flawless for high-end events.

This is a senior-level position for a professional who takes pride in the details-from seamless drywall repairs to the reliability of an outdoor water feature. You will be the guardian of our guest experience, prioritizing safety and visual excellence above all else.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Interior Structural & Finish Work: Execute expert-level carpentry, cabinetry, doors, locks, repairs, and trim work. Maintain high-end wall finishes, including professional-grade painting, wallpaper touch-ups, and plaster repair.
  • Exterior & Grounds Maintenance: Oversee the functionality and appearance of exterior water features, fountains, and decorative ponds . Ensure stone walkways, decks, and outdoor structures are structurally sound and trip-hazard free.
  • Light MEP Repairs: Manage essential "handyman" plumbing (clogs, fixtures, bathroom hardware) and electrical tasks (ballasts, decorative lighting, dimmers) to ensure zero downtime during events.
  • Safety & Risk Mitigation: Conduct rigorous safety sweeps of guest-facing areas. Our top priority is the physical safety of staff and guests; you will identify and rectify potential hazards before they become issues.
  • Work Order Technology: Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to document all preventative maintenance and reactive repairs.
  • Portfolio Mobility: Travel between our North Austin properties to perform site-specific maintenance and respond to urgent facility needs.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years of "Commercial Building" maintenance. Experience in hospitality, high-end retail, restaurant, or luxury residential is highly preferred.
  • The "Handyman" Skillset: Mastery of carpentry, masonry, painting, and general building repairs.
  • Water Feature Knowledge: Experience maintaining the pumps, filtration, and water chemistry of decorative exterior features.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with venue managers and wedding coordinators.
  • Logistics: Valid Driver's License and a reliable vehicle for inter-property travel.
  • Availability: Must be available for emergency calls to ensure venues are operational for scheduled weddings.
Certifications & Compensation

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. We offer higher pay tiers for individuals bringing specialized trade certifications such as:
  • CPO (Certified Pool/Spa Operator)
  • OSHA 10/30 Safety Certification
  • Carpentry or Masonry Trade Certifications
  • Electrical or Plumbing Apprentice/Journeyman licenses
The Mission: Our properties are the backdrop for once-in-a-lifetime moments. We are looking for a dedicated professional who understands that a leaky faucet or a chipped baseboard isn't just a repair-it's a detraction from a couple's special day.

Qualifications:
  • 2 years of experience in general maintenance.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and stand/walk for 8-12 hours.
  • Must be able to work independently and efficiently.
  • A valid driver's license with a clear driving record is required.
  • Tools Provided: Necessary tools will be provided to complete the job.
  • Submit to a background & drug test
Compensation & Schedule:
  • Full-time: Monday - Friday (ability to work Weekends/Nights & Holidays as needed)
  • $23 - $27 per hour
Benefits:
  • 85% Employer-Subsidized Medical, in addition, we offer Dental & Vision Insurance
  • 401k plan with a 4% Match
  • Eligible for benefits, including accrued PTO.
  • Gas stipend for driving between properties.
  • Opportunity for growth within a supportive team environment.
Other:

  • Submit/complete background check; have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
