POSITION SUMMARY
The Field Marketing Specialist (FMS) is responsible for driving brand visibility, lead generation, and community engagement across an assigned portfolio of venues and ancillary services.
This role blends digital marketing execution with field marketing activation, ensuring venues are consistently represented within their local markets while supporting the brand and region as a whole.
Field Marketing Specialists work cross-functionally with venue teams, sales leaders, and the central marketing team to activate campaigns locally, support venue showcases and events, build relationships with planners and vendors, and develop marketing initiatives that ultimately drive tours and bookings.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Lead Generation & Local Campaign Activation
Serve as the primary liaison between local teams and the central marketing team to support lead generation and campaign performance.
Responsibilities may include:
• Monitoring lead volume and engagement to identify opportunities for optimization
• Collaborating with sales and operations to understand regional market insights and needs
• Supporting regional lead generation strategies across digital and third-party platforms
• Developing and executing campaigns aligned with brand activations and seasonal demand
2. Social Media & Digital Presence
Manage and grow the digital presence for assigned venues across social media, website content, and key discovery platforms used by couples and event planners.
Responsibilities may include:
• Managing social media accounts for assigned venues (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.)
• Monitoring engagement, responding to messages, and optimizing content performance
• Maintaining accurate and compelling venue profiles across key marketplaces and partner sites
• Supporting website updates related to venue pages, event galleries, and seasonal promotions
• Monitoring reviews across major platforms and coordinating responses when appropriate
3. Field Marketing & Community Engagement
Serve as the on-the-ground brand ambassador within the regional market.
Responsibilities may include:
• Building relationships with local chambers, industry groups, and community organizations
• Representing our brand at local networking events and community activations
• Developing partnerships with planners, vendors, and local influencers
• Identifying hyper-local marketing opportunities that support regional demand
4. Content Creation and Marketing Events
Capture authentic content that showcases venues, events, and guest experiences and assist with planning and execution of venue showcases and other marketing-driven events.
Responsibilities may include:
• Attend select client events and showcases to capture high-quality, "behind-the-scenes" content
• Assist in the end-to-end planning and execution of venue showcases, ensuring a premium guest experience and overall successful event performance
• Manage the ongoing submission of event galleries and venue features to industry publications and digital platforms for local venue awareness
• Evaluate the ROI of marketing-driven events by measuring attendance, lead generation, and booking close rates
5. Marketing Collateral & Operational Support
Support the design, creation, production, and distribution of marketing materials for your assigned venue or vendor portfolio. Ensure brand alignment and clear communication.
Responsibilities may include:
• Designing marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, signs, and other sales collateral
• Overseeing marketing/sales inventory to maintain consistent stock of printed sales enablement materials and promotional items
• Providing execution support for marketing initiatives and cross-functional projects, including new venue openings, special events, and seasonal campaigns
QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years of experience in marketing, events, or a closely related role
• Demonstrated experience managing social media content and strategy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in a B2B setting
• Proficiency in content creation tools (Canva, Adobe Suite, or equivalent)
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required for event coverage and showcases
EXPECTATIONS
• Attend a minimum of one must-see event per month to capture raw content
• Attend regional showcases to capture live social media footage and raw content
• Spend a minimum of 4 hours per week on-property to build local relationships
• All projects and strategic tactics must be completed by the given deadlines
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• Salary Range: $40,000-$55,000 annually
• Quarterly bonus opportunities based on performance and goals
• Full-time, Exempt position
• Flexible schedule with occasional evenings and weekends required for events and venue showcases
